Life Coach FAQ’s

Going ahead with life coaching is a big step – in the right direction. But it needn’t be a daunting step.

To make sure your decision to go ahead with life coaching is simple and straight forward, I have put together a handful of life coaching FAQ’s that I hope will answer any questions you may have.

However, if you still have a question, just ask away – you can call me on 01403 793790 or send me a message using my online contact form.
How does life coaching differ to counselling?
In Life coaching we look forward from where you are now, setting goals for a more fulfilling future, and putting steps in place to get you there.

In counselling you look back in time to understand your past. Although example situations from the past will often be relevant in coaching, we don’t spend any time analysing the whys and wherefores, we simply come back to the present and look at moving you forward.

How does life coaching work?
Life coaching is not about me giving you the answers to a more fulfilling life. To be as successful as possible, we will both need to work together to ensure you achieve your goals. During our sessions, I will ask you questions that will help us to explore the issues you are facing and encourage you to find the answers that will help to bring clarity to your life changing decisions and actions. I will empower you and motivate you to work through the map that we have set out to help you reach where you are heading. I will be available as support and encouragement throughout your life changing journey.

How do I know you’re the right coach for me?
I offer a free one hour introductory session so that you can meet me and I can understand what you are looking to achieve. During the introductory session, I can answer any questions that you may have. If you decide that life coaching is the route you would like to follow, the introductory session also gives you the opportunity to make sure you will be happy with me as your coach. You can read a bit more about me on my profile page – life coach: Cathryn Hindle.

How much coaching will I need?
My coaching is tailored to your specific requirements. If you work at a fast pace, I’ll be there to help you reach your goals as quickly as you can. If you prefer to work at a more steady pace, I will work with you accordingly. Likewise, the nature of your life coaching will also have an impact on the level of coaching that you will require. For example, if you are looking for coaching to help you make a tough decision, this will normally take around three sessions. For more involved coaching such as building confidence and self-esteem, career development and controlling a work-life balance, the amount of time we will need to spend together will be longer. The number of sessions that you will need will be determined by: how much work needs to be done and how much you are prepared to put in to accelerating your progress between sessions. During your free introductory session, we will chat about the level of coaching that you may require and put together a coaching programme to suit you.

What can I expect from the coaching?
During your coaching, I will help you to define your goals, keep you focused, challenge you (in the nicest possible way!) and encourage you to celebrate your success! We will work through your current situation and where you would like to be, explore options available to you and map out steps for you to follow. We will then work through these steps to help you get to where you want to be.

When can I see you?
Coaching is available during the working day, after hours or on Saturday mornings.

Where can I see you?
I have an office at The Courtyard in Horsham (opposite the Library). Please see my contact page for the address details. Alternatively, I also offer telephone coaching and skype coaching.

What do you charge?
It depends on what you need, as coaching is tailored to you. Perhaps you only need one or two sessions to get you on the right track?  Or if you are looking for coaching over a period of a few months, Coaching packages start from £240 per month. This includes 2 x 1 hour face-to-face meetings, a catch up phone call and email support between sessions.

A half day initial booster life planning session is also available at £240 and can be taken as a one-off to kick start your programme.

How do I start?
The first step is to arrange your free introductory session – please call me on 01403 793790 or email me at cathryn@cathrynhindle.com and we can organise a suitable time to meet.
